FAQs

BOOKING AND PAYMENT

Do I need to be a member to travel with The OOO Club?

A member is simply anyone who has taken one of our trips. There is no paid membership or subscription involved.

Once you’ve traveled with us, you’re granted access to the full travel community and benefits such as early access booking, special pricing, free events, and member-exclusive trips like ‘Festivals Around the World’.

How does the booking process work?

Contact us and let us know you’re interested and one of our team will schedule a quick call with you to answer your questions and learn more about you and your travel requirements.

  • You can then reserve your spot on the trip with a risk-free Paypal payment.
  • You’ll need to book your own flights but the other logistics are managed by us.
  • We’ll send you a customized guidebook with details about the destination, what to pack, safety tips and lots of insider tips from our team.
  • Before the trip departs we host a group conference call to go over the details and answer any questions.

Is there a booking deadline?

Yes. Booking closes a month before the trip departs, or as soon as the spaces are filled. Some of our trips sell out very quickly so we recommend contacting us as soon as possible to make your booking.

What are the payment options?

Complete payment is due upon booking through Paypal, which accepts all major credit cards.

Payment is fully refundable 30 days prior to the trip departure date. After that date there is a $200 cancellation fee.

We understand that everyone’s financial situation is different. Talk to us about our flexible payment options.

SAFETY

How do you ensure safety on the trip?

The safety of our group is paramount to us when we travel. We know every location we travel to and we partner with local guides to make sure we put the right processes and people in place. Each city, guide, apartment and activity has been vetted by us.

We stay in apartments with 24 hour security and we provide you with a guidebook with safety advice specific to your destination.

Do I need travel insurance?

Travel insurance is a necessary precaution that gives you peace of mind. Check with your employer as this might be included as an employee benefit. Otherwise we recommend World Nomad Travel Insurance.

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE OOO CLUB TRIPS?

What’s included?

Airport transfers, accommodation, The OOO Club experience leads, local guides, itinerary with activities and our travel community. Flights, food, drinks, tips, and additional excursions or transportations are not included.

Why aren’t food and drinks included?

Personal preferences and dietary restrictions aside, we believe that food and drink is a big part of your personal travel experience.

Each city we visit offers rich culinary diversity from street food to fine dining. We want you to have the flexibility to explore these options and choose the experience that best fits your personal tastes.

Why aren’t flights included?

Our community flies from all over the world. Everyone has their own schedule, favorite airline, accumulated points and other travel hacks.

We let you choose how to get there, so we can focus on the experience.

LOGISTICS

What type of accommodation do you use?

We take pride in getting you in the heart of the town – walking distance to local restaurants, bars, beaches and more. Your centrally located apartment is found in an authentic neighborhood representative of the culture.

You stay in a private room and share the apartment with two or three other group members. The apartments are comfortable, respect quiet hours after 11pm, and will always have modern amenities like enhanced security and wifi.

Because each city is different, facilities such as a pool, balcony, courtyard, etc. can vary from trip to trip.

The OOO Club pro tip: Book early for the best apartment.

Apart from my flights, what else do I need to plan?

Think about what food you’ll need if you have any special dietary restrictions.

Other than that you can plan any activities that you want to do that aren’t on the group itinerary. We keep our itinerary flexible with free time for you to explore. But many popular attractions sell out fast, so make sure you check what tickets or reservations are needed in advance.

How do you choose your destinations?

Each destination we choose offers a perfect balance of adventure, culture and scenery plus good weather, safety, accessibility and affordability.

All the ingredients for packing an amazing international trip into just seven days without it feeling exhausting or overwhelming.

Our founders have traveled extensively in these cities. We’ve vetted all our activities, accommodation and guides. We enjoyed our experiences so much here, we just can’t wait to share them with you.

THE GROUP

How do you guarantee I’ll travel with ‘like-minded’ professionals?

We personally speak to every person who makes an inquiry into one of our trips to make sure that there is a mutual fit with our community.

It’s a casual ‘get-to-know-you’ chat and it ensures that everyone in the group has similar travel goals and values.

How many people are in a group?

Group sizes range from 10-20 travelers depending on location and the activities on the itinerary. We strive for that sweet spot to involve as many travelers as we can without sacrificing the ability to make meaningful connections between our travelers and the community that we visit.

Can I travel with a friend or significant other?

Yes. Young couples or two friends traveling together are welcome as long as you’re interested in being in with the group and meeting new people.
